Humans are obsessive. In social situations, we contain such a formidable demeanor and desire to stand out from the crowd. However, we simultaneously aim to fit in and be accepted within a close social group. One might say the notion of simultaenously pursuing both goals is a mistaken path, and the reason for our lack of prescience.
